After having our daughter with my amazing husband, I suffered from postpartum depression. One of the happiest moments in my life quickly became one of scariest. Between trying to cope with some sort of normalcy to caring for our family, I became lost. What I cherished the most during those times were small gestures. Something as simple as a "how are you today?" meant so much to me. I soon noticed with the help of counseling that I was put on the back burner after having a child. This happens so much with mothers and not in a bad way. Most people are just overjoyed with the bundle of joy. I wanted to come up with a way to help moms-to-be and postpartum moms with their mental state. That's when the idea of Mommy2 came to me. I want to send small gestures to show that "you matter" and "you are an amazing mom as well"!
